What is SAP ?

The Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) is the Government's accepted system for the calculation of carbon emissions in domestic buildings.

What is SBEM?

The Simplified Building Energy Model (SBEM) is the calculation tool used to predict carbon emissions in non-domestic buildings.

What is NHER?

The National Home Energy Rating (NHER) is the total energy used by a dwelling on a    site-specific basis. Additional information on estimated running costs, carbon dioxide emissions and options for improving specific ratings is also available.

What is Part L?

Building Regulations Part L  covers the Conservation of Fuel and Power within all buildings.

What is FAERO?

FAERO stands for The "Federation of Approved Energy Ratings Organisations". If work is carried out by such an approved body, Building Control can accept the calculation without the need for further checking.

What is needed to complete a SAP / SBEM calculation?

EAS will need project details including plans/elevations and specifications in either PDF or DWG format or you can post us scaled paper drawings.
